HON. ACTING COMMISSIONER FOR TOURISM ON INSPECTION OF ART WORKS AT AFRICAN ARTISTS FOUNDATION

The African Artist Foundation (AAF) Ikoyi , recently played host to the Acting Commissioner, Tourism Arts and Culture Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola to seek partnership with the Lagos State Government for training of youths in Arts, photography and Cinematography.

While conducting the Ag. Commissioner round the Studios, Mr. Azu Nwagbogu, Director and founder of the Art center said the center is in the business of developing talented youths who are gifted in the field of arts to maximize their potentials and offer training to would be artist in areas of Photography, Art drawing and Cinematography and make a career for themselves. He said the found has about 10,000 collections of art works since it started in 2007.

Appreciating the foundation’s collections of arts works, honorable Adebimpe said ‘Art is Life and is a Spirit only those that are art inclined can interpret and appreciate works of art’, the Ministry being youths friendly will continue to package programs that will enhance the life of talented youths in the State for Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment, Sports for Execellce. She said the government would look into possible area of collaboration with the foundation.
