The Ag. Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola’s efforts towards the up liftment of public schools in Igbogbo and Ikorodu area of the State has continued to receive commendation from the stakeholders in the community.

The recent being a letter of appreciation from parents, staff and pupils of Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye, Igbogbo, Ikorodu for the donation of drum set to aid the students morning devotion and for use during other extra-curricular activities. The letter noted that school attendance and punctuality has improved tremendously since the drum were put to use for devotion in the morning and afternoon. The few moments of fun by the students while the drum sounds is a testimony to its effect on the students.

In the same vein, the Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Ikorodu also appreciated the donation of National, State and School flags for the aesthetic value to the school environment and the boost to student’s interest during march past and while singing the national anthem.

The Assistant Head Teacher of the 62 years old school, Mrs. Bilikis Awolesi while applauding the gesture said the spirit of the pupils were heightened when the drum set was donated and all the pupils now tries not to miss the morning assembly.
